Restore English Pages WPML

User
we have en pages that has accidently translated to german now I want to restore it by export en content from related site and update in current site wordpress wpml
Assistant
To restore the accidentally translated English pages back to their original content using WPML in WordPress, you can follow these steps:

### **1. Export the English Content from the Related Site**
– **Log in to the related site's WordPress admin.**
– Go to **WPML > Translation Management**.
– Use the filtering options to list all English pages.
– Select the pages you want to export.
– Click on **Export XLIFF** (a translation file format).
– This will download the content in English in XLIFF format.

### **2. Import the English Content into the Current Site**
– **Log in to the current site (the one with mistakenly translated content).**
– Go to **WPML > Translation Management > Translation Tools**.
– Use the **Import XLIFF** feature:
– Upload the XLIFF file exported from the related site.
– WPML will process and overwrite the existing German content with the original English content.

### **3. Verify the Update**
– After importing, visit the affected pages to confirm the restoration of English content.
– Check if the links, media, and formatting are intact.

### **4. Backup and Test**
– **Create a backup** of both sites before proceeding with the import/export.
– If you face issues with XLIFF, consider exporting and importing pages manually or via plugins like **All-in-One WP Migration** or **WP Import Export Lite**.

### **Alternative Option: Export/Import via CSV**
If XLIFF is not available, you can use a CSV export/import process:
– Use plugins like **WP All Export** to export English content from the related site.
– Use **WP All Import** to upload and map the English content to overwrite the current site.
